Les erreurs fréquentes du CV

Voici une liste des 10 erreurs les plus fréquemment commises par les candidats. Cette liste est un bon moyen de valider votre CV et de "checker" une dernière fois que toutes les informations sont bien présentes et répondent aux attentes du recruteur.

1 - Faute de frappe et faute d'orthographe
Un erreur de français, un faute de frappe saute immédiatement aux yeux du recruteur et réduit vos chances d'être contacté. Relisez votre CV plusieurs fois et faîtes le relire par un ou deux amis afin de supprimer toutes les coquilles.

2 - Un CV trop détaillé - Trop long
Évitez de faire un CV sur 3 pages, ou pire imprimé recto/verso. L'objectif est d'être synthétique et de mettre en avant les compétences qui correspondent le mieux au poste auquel vous postulez. Les candidats ont trop souvent l'habitue de surcharger leur CV. Mettez vous à la place d'un recruteur, un CV trop long ou trop détaillé peut vite devenir ennuyeux à lire. Faîtes simple et soyez percutant !

3 - Un CV banal, trop général
Un C.V ne doit pas être une simple énumération de vos diplômes et expériences professionnelles. Il doit mettre en relief votre candidature. N'hésitez pas à afficher des résultats, des objectifs atteint. Votre CV est votre carte de visite, votre message publicitaire. NB/ Évitez cependant d'en faire trop !

4 - Utilisation de vocabulaire spécifique et d'acronymes
Les responsable RH de société ne sont pas des experts. Évitez n'utilisez des acronymes ou du jargons profesionnel.

5 - Mauvaises coordonnées
Certains candidats ne donnent pas les bonnes coordonnées, oublient de mettre leur numéro de téléphone mobile. A moins d'être une perle rare, les recruteurs ne passeront pas tout leur temps à chercher à vous contacter.

6 - Document non compatible
Avec les nombreuses version de Microsoft Word, les éditeurs de textes gratuits (OpenOffice, NeoOPffice) les risques d'incompatibilité sont nombreux. Pour faire simple, exportez votre CV au format PDF (lire conseils CV PDF).

7 - CV illisible, surchargé
Aérez votre CV et évitez les polices d'écriture exotiques ou cartoonesques.

8 - Informations floues et données inutiles
- Exemple : "Anglais et Espagnol parlé" <- indiquez votre niveau : scolaire, professionnel, courant, ...
- Exemple : « BEPC » ou « Brevet des collèges » (lorsque vous êtes bachelier)

9 - Absence de titre de CV
Le titre de votre Cv n'est pas "Curriculum vitae" mais le titre du pose auquel vous postulez. Inscrivez aussi sur quelques lignes votre objectif, vos compétences clés.

10 - Papier de mauvaise qualité, photo identité de mauvaise qualité
Utilisez une feuille A4 de bonne qualité (dimension 21*29.7 pour un poids de 100 à 110 grammes). Votre CV doit être dactylographié, c'est à dire édité à partir d'un traitement de texte.

Dans le cas où vous souhaitez faire figurer votre photo, voici quelques règles à respecter :
=> Souriez ! Il est toujours plus plaisant de regarder quelqu'un de souriant.
=> Votre présentation compte ! Évitez de mettre un maillot de football ou un décolleté trop voyant.
